Tasting notes

Taster Phoebe Calver

Nose: Caramel stroopwafel appears first, a slice of farmhouse loaf with blackcurrant jam on top. Packed fruit loaf, creamy caramel sauce and orange blossom. Chopped pecan.
Palate: Sticky toffee pudding, filled with toffee chunks, with mint choc chip ice cream. Red berry compote, nutmeg cutting through and sweet peppery heat.
Finish: Medium length, mouth drying with that blackcurrant lingering and toasted caramel.
Comment: Sweet, hot and delicious. This is not for the faint hearted for sure!

Taster Christopher Coates

Nose: Black cherry, damson jam, sweet balsamic, cedar and oude wood. Fragrant Christmas candle: lots of intense dried orange, cinnamon and clove.
Palate: Medium bodied. Not too much tingle, given the ABV. Sweet black tea, lots more orange and something of a mulled wine element. Lingonberry jam and more black cherry with blackberry.
Finish: Medium-short. Gently drying, fading on orange and clove.
Comment: Tasty, but has a tendency to fade away a touch quickly for my liking.
