Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Hits you full on straight off the bat, with the smells of a fishing harbour. Oil containers, smoked fish, tarred ropes. The moves to a sweeter side with smoked almonds and toasted brioche buns laden with butter and apricot jam.
Palate: That saline quality from the nose dominates here, salt crackers and dried fish. Smoked salmon and cream cheese. Underneath there's floral notes and gorse.
Finish: Spicy ,woody with a hint of citrus.
Comment: A delight, well balanced.

Taster Lyndsey Gray

Nose: A luscious combination of dark chocolate, bonfire embers, candlewax and pistachio marshmallows. Subtle traces of hot stainless steel, hazelnuts and butterscotch layers.
Palate: Bursts of citrus and red berries joined by aromas of Nutella, wood smoke and charcoal. A mineral element comes through with sea salt flakes.
Finish: A slight metallic note strengthens through the smoke.
Comment: An indulgent breakfast. Nutella and bacon pancakes with a cheeky cig as well.
