Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Complex, rich. Intriguing combination of earth and sea aromas. Wet leaves. Sea spray on warm bitumen. Touch of fried bacon. Vanilla waffle.
Palate: Attractive sweetness. Layers of fruit. Dark cherries. Marmalade, dates, raisins, roasted nuts.
Finish: Subtle but lingering. Hint of phenols. Liquorice.
Comment: Perfect blend of aromas and textures. Really appealing. Makes you feel romantic.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Brandy and sweet. Touches of rose petal perfume/orange muscat and sweet pine. Slightly dusty with water but has breadth.
Palate: Nut oil, chocolate, pecan. Still sweet. Becomes sappy to finish. Orange.
Finish: Dry, slightly dusty.
Comment: An old whisky and of interest, but beginning to fade.
