Tasting notes
Taster   Alwynne Gwilt
Nose: Plastic and wood glue at first – smells of a woodshop and wax crayons. Then Turkish Delight wrappers and green apple. It’s very fresh, almost with a eucalyptus note.
Palate: Hay and grain, and peanut skins. Pea shoots and tarragon. Underneath, cola cubes and brown sugar. Varied and intriguing.
Finish: Becomes quite grassy and green as it goes on, gentle fruitiness and sweet popcorn.
Comment: It’s very good. Bizarre at first but then you realise there is a lot of complexity if you give it time. Well balanced, I could keep going back for more.

Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Oily herbal rye with plenty of hard, oily corn. Some feinty notes seem to hint at immaturity. With time toffee and subtle spice notes appear.
Palate: Slightly burnt toffee and corn to begin with followed by slightly spicy rye. It becomes a little bitter on the middle as the oak starts to bite.
Finish: A tad short with lingering burnt toffee and corn.
Comment: I don't think this has spent long enough in the cask to completely remove all the impurities.
