Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Lush with vanilla, sweet nuts and caramelised fruits: baked banana, orange, fenugreek leaves. Water brings out complex, spicy oak-derived tones; plum, coffee, butterscotch Angel Delight.
Palate: Rich, soft and chewy. Cream toffee, berry fruits, spiced oaky flavours.
Finish: Big and rounded.
Comment: A very elegant dram which demonstrates (as do many of the others) just how great grain whisky can be.
8.5
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Cedar. Leather. Linseed.
Palate: Buttery, nutty. Emphatic milk chocolate. Developing a gentle, toasted-almond dryness.
Finish: Firm. Soothing.
Comment: Black Barrel with more age, more wood.
