Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Rich, intense. Toffee, raisin, dark plums. Thick cut marmalade. Butterscotch. Dried apricot. Crème caramel. Close to a cognac XO.
Palate: Fruity and creamy. A good sweet and sour balance. Oak prevails at mid palate and holds its grip, drying off the fruitiness.
Finish: Dry, tannic, spicy.
Comment: Even nearer to a cognac on the palate. Rich and complex. Oak gives a bony structure but maybe a cask too far...
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Bourbon like: maraschino, black cherry, cumin powder, spiced. Good depth and weight. Shows promise.
Palate: Perfumed with artificial lavender notes dominating the other flavours.
Finish: Short.
Comment: The perfume knocks everything back.
