Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Pungent, earthy, mature fruit aromas. A melange of Colombian coffee, dry, sherry spices, lush honey, stewed fruit, prune and dark chocolate. Evocative and deep with a developing citrus character.
Palate: Gentle, full and mature with prune, walnut, dark honey and an Armagnac-esque rancio. Mature fruit and oak with biting, bittering, balancing wood spice, citrus and mineral notes.
Finish: Long and juicy with the mature Armagnac-esque dried fruit and spice lingering. Finishes with a touch of dusty cocoa powder.
Comment: That’s a fine old Speyside malt!

Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Ginger cake, ruby grapefruit, pineapple upside-down cake, tobacco and leather.
Palate: Hot ginger, some earthy tones of freshly raked earth and a lot of oak spices. Cinnamon and fennel.
Finish: Warming spices, Turkish coffee and hot white chocolate sauce.
Comment: A nice dram that delivers well in all areas with some real age and fruity notes to it.
