Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: A big mix or fresh and dried fruits, apple skins, trail mix, dried pineapple, apricots, coconut. Gently roasted white marshmallows. Toffee apples, a touch of pencil boxes.
Palate: Plenty going here as well, sweet fruit salad and syrup. Almost a popping candy quality, dusty spices.
Finish: Astringent with apple skins.
Comment: A well knitted dram indeed.
8.5
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Fragrant. Fruity. Ripe apricots. Poached peaches in a vanilla syrup. In time more fruit, slightly sour like rhubarb and strawberries. Oak is intertwined with fruit and toffee. Elegant and complex. There is also a light floral touch.
Palate: A lovely silky feel. Sweet fruit followed by a sherbet spiciness. Stewed apples.
Finish: Dry, spicy with a delicate nutty aftertaste.
Comment: An accomplished whisky, rich with a pleasant liveliness and balance.
