Tasting notes
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: Big and massively complex. Healthy honey glow weaves in and out of the trademark Glen Moray malt intensity, weighted by a dash of peat. The wineyness is restricted to a fruit cocktail of apple and sultana.
Palate: Sublime mouthfeel: slightly oily and wonderfully lush. Sweet malt and lighter grapey notes go hand-in-hand at the start, though the middle sees the malt intensify.
Finish: Lovely coffee and vanilla mix with a drying oakiness fitting a 16 Years Old. Dries impressively.
Comment: Wow. This is not how Glen Moray used to be. A dram just brimming with complexity and threatening to explode.
8.5
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Very aromatic, with a hint of cloves and apples. Tannin.
Palate: Toffee, apples and oak.
Finish: Long, with hints of peat, grass and leaves. Resiny, peppery.
Comment: Firmer and more assertive.
