Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: A nice combination of light, fresh hay bales on a sunny day; then creamy tiramisu and a dash of cinnamon.
Palate: That spice note gets stronger here thanks to the oak’s heat, calmed by orange and almond cake softness, Christmas spices, and a little of that creaminess again.
Finish: Hayfever returns on the finish, opening the whisky back up and lingering.
Comment: A delicate balancing act between a light spring day and the richness of those spice notes. I rate the complexity.

Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Heather honey, Flump marshmallow, waxy red apples, and fruity fromage frais, strawberry mousse or retro trifle.
Palate: Waxy and full bodied, livened up with tingly alcohol. Flavours of sweet, golden syrup-soaked porridge, chunky granola with dried red fruits, succulent strawberry, and creamy boiled sweets.
Finish: The finish is pretty short, yet punchy, with hints of the fruity sweetness.
Comment: Simple, yet clean and lively, with an overriding character of red fruit candies and sugary cereal.
