Tasting notes
Taster   Becky Paskin
Nose: Delicate and fruity with hints of Galia melon, baked apples and lemon zest, alongside a buttery, flaky French horn filled with vanilla crème and dusted with a light coat of icing sugar.
Palate: Surprisingly musty, like a disused barn, but with an earthy fruitiness in the skin of Conference pears and crumbly red apples. Some baking spice helps lift things a little.
Finish: It doesn’t stick around, but there’s cooked red apples and Nestlé chocolate.
Comment: Try this in a Highball with soda and a slice of red apple.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Like a 1970s dinner party starter, melon balls, Parma ham and a light cinnamon dusting. Suntan lotion, surf wax and sun-bleached wood. A little mineral edge, hot stones and gorse flowers.
Palate: There’s a real dunnage warehouse edge to this, earthy and old wood, maturing casks. A touch of tobacco leaf and then ginger powder. Cherry pipe tobacco.
Finish: Swift and drying with a distinctly floral edge to it.
Comment: To start a meal off, one for a convivial moment and to share the joy.
