Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Cream soda, lime juice and Advocaat. White grape and elderflower cordial. Waxed Granny Smith apple. Butter shortbread with hard-set icing and raspberry jam – we’re in Empire biscuit territory.
Palate: Medium bodied. Eve’s pudding (caramelised apple upside-down cake), Curly Wurly (milk chocolate–coated toffee), roasted chestnut and shiitake mushroom. A little pork crackling coats the mouth, too.
Finish: Medium. The apple, milk chocolate and caramel linger.
Comment: A really solid Speysider.

Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Rich and inviting notes of Black Forest gateau up front, with chocolate flake shavings and lashings of cream.
Palate: It continues to be sweet and fruity here, with more rich chocolate, dark cherries, slices of plums covered in syrup and caramel sauces drizzled all over.
Finish: The dark fruit notes really linger here.
Comment: Rich and delectable. It’s perhaps not one for those that don’t like to dabble in the sweet side, but it’s perfect for me.
