Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Expressive, grassy. Dry hay. Huge puff of black pepper followed by sweeter notes. Cider apples cooked in honey. Beeswax. Touch of cedar.
Palate: Round, oily, sweet and malty. Toasted nuts. Stewed apples. Less spicy than the nose. Good balance.
Finish: A bit evanescent but enjoyable.
Comment: Definitely Speyside. Elegant interplay between fruit and malt.
7.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Very light and grassy to start. In time becoming more sappy, like a pine forest in the summer. Some creamy nuttiness as well.
Palate: Heathery. Very light, dry and nutty with that light sappy note returning. Well-balanced.
Finish: Soft then fades quickly.
Comment: A good, solid, bone-dry malt.
