Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Old leather armchair, fruit cake full of sultanas and candied peel, sherried with pencil eraser and sticky toffee sweets.
Palate: Sticky toffee pudding, chewy dates, and resinous oak that warms gently. Rubber tyres, slight saltiness, clove spice and red apples.
Finish: Winey toffee pennies linger on the finish, into pound cake.
Comment: Really delicious, well balanced and complex enough to take you on a journey. It’s comforting and the perfect winter warmer.
8.1
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Quite reserved at first. As it opens up, sticky toffee pudding, medjool date and milk chocolate ice cream emerge. Raspberry and meringue, too.
Palate: Very light. Delightful stewed fruits – plum, pear and apple – with cinnamon and brown sugar. Caramel biscuit notes develop into almond biscotti. Coffee with condensed milk too.
Finish: Medium length, with a distinctive coffee cream milk chocolate character to it.
Comment: A well-balanced and enjoyable drop.
