Tasting notes

Taster Joel Harrison

Nose: Cherry cola, suede jackets and woollen mill visitors shop.
Palate: A hint of sulphur on the palate, with black forest gateaux and a rich hit of Christmas pudding coming through.
Finish: Black cherry jam.
Comment: I liked this, despite the delicate levels of sulphur on the palate, there is still some life in this dram.

Taster Neil Ridley

Nose: Very dry, with a little mustiness, some vaguely aromatic vermouth/fortified notes and breakfast bran.
Palate: Slightly sulphury, with a rubber band note, some spirit gum, moist paper and chopped brazil nuts.
Finish: Lingering rubber notes.
Comment: Sorry, but this doesn’t do a great deal for me. It’s either a tired sherry cask at work, or something more fundamental here.
