Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Exotic nose, all heady spices and wax polish with a hint of rubber behind, then mocha. A lightly heathery note, box hedges, spiced pears, papaya and lightsmoke. In time, saddle soap, massage oil and scented candles.
Palate: Densely flavoured and old,but not overly wooded.Moves into grilled nuts. Quite light and fragile. Lightwood smoke drifts through. Elegant.
Finish: Exotic fruits. Lovely.
Comment: Great balance and complexity.
8.3
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Perfumy .A superb mix of floral and fruity notes. So well intertwined. Heather honey, cherry plums. Creamytoffee. Cedar. A hint of pine resin.
Palate: Sweet but the wood astringence quickly takes over.Develops on spices and passion fruit.
Finish: Lingering,framed byoak and spices.
Comment: From the nose to the palate,we know that we are in front of a very old whisky. The nose is superb but thewood signature is too assertive on the palate.
