Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Light, grassy. Lemon balm, dry hay. Honeycomb. Refreshing.
Palate: Sweet but lively. Quite frisky. A spice burst tickling the tongue. Ginger alewith a lemon rind.
Finish: Crisp, soothing on sweet aniseed notes.
Comment: Appetising, straightforward. Deceptively robust on the tongue. Water cuts the edges and makes the mouthfeel creamier. Another uplifter.
7.8
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Lifted, with bready/yeasty notes. Malt extract. A distinct maltiness as well as hazelnut dryness though there's a creamy and rounded quality. Brass and turned earth
Palate: Sweet and malty with a lightly perfumed character. Sage, preserved lemon. Chewy feel and light grip. This also loses some character with water.
Finish: Bread and butter pudding.
Comment: Decently balanced.
