Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Clean with a light almond start alongside mint sprigs, basil and tarragon. A gentle chalkiness sits behind baked apple, green olive.
Palate: The mintiness comes to the fore alongside tangerine. The it deepens into muscatel, baked peach and light oaky grip.
Finish: Long and ripe.
Comment: What’s going on up in Dufftown? There seems to be a new ‘Fiddich every week –and on the strength of this that’s no bad thing.
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Shy, restrained. Burnt wood. Nuts toffee. Crème caramel.
Palate: Sweet, slightly smoky. Butterscotch. A salty feel. Spicy and oaky. Quite dry after mid palate.
Finish: Nutty, spicy.
Comment: A well structured whisky, developing on the dry side. Classic and quiet.
