Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Pure sweetness up front, with a touch of farmyard to it. Fresh tomato juice. Then waves of warm vanilla custard with plenty of grated nutmeg. A touch of leaf mulch and a slight metallic note, then bags of apricot jam.
Palate: Those sweet apricots have become dipped in honey. More vanilla custard too, candy-coated almonds. Banana bread.
Finish: Long and sticky, the ABV shows up but it’s a gentle and quite pleasant prickle.
Comment: What I imagine being trapped inside a jam factory might be like.

Taster   Sam Coyne
Nose: Earthy, wet cross-country spikes. Milky cereals. Leads into freshly baked bread. A faint white fruit sweetness calls you in from the cold.
Palate: Opens with sugary vanilla créme pastries, but then becomes more savoury with a Rye bread pepperiness. Water nullifies that a bit, while also drawing out more white fruit notes.
Finish: Long, starts with sweet, but becomes more like mown lawns.
Comment: Something quite different. A cereal number. Satisfying without ever becoming particularly sweet.
