Tasting notes

Taster Lyndsey Gray

Nose: A charcoal barbeque chock-a-block with tropical fruits. Mango, pineapple and kiwis all grilling away with a sprinkling of coconut flakes, lavender infused rock salt and then some shards of white chocolate.
Palate: Waves of tobacco smoke, plasticine and burnt coffee granules join the succulent fruit notes from the nose.
Finish: A delightfully waxy element to it and a hint of smoky florals towards the end.
Comment: If a box of crayons were fruit flavoured and being stored in a smokehouse.

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Gentle honey and very light floral notes – gorse and Autumn leaves. Toasted brown bread with thick butter. Toffee pennies. A hint of pickled walnuts.
Palate: Walnut skins and clove spices. Cherry cough sweets and those rhubarb and custard hard sweets. A little bitter coffee at the end.
Finish: Short and a little bitter, then waves of roast peanuts and chilli.
Comment: Very shy and doesn’t give much away, a distinct lack of wood influence gives the platform to the distillate.
