Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Really lovely sweetness with salted caramel ice cream and vanilla. Stewed fruit with dark fruit compote, sherry soaked raisins and spiced damson chutney. Hints of wood smoke too.
Palate: Spice layers build up bringing in ground black pepper and goat’s cheese. Then golden syrup on hot crumpets and some roasted hazelnuts.
Finish: Sweet and rich, then everything dries out nicely.
Comment: A gorgeous whisky, that shows some age, but it holds it well.
8.7
Taster   Lyndsey Gray
Nose: Clotted cream, gorse flowers and butterscotch, followed by rich hot white chocolate and marshmallows. Orange zest and coconut oil towards the end.
Palate: Rich and creamy, freshly squeezed orange juice, lemon curd and polished mahogany.
Finish: Smooth and rich, but the finish dissipates quite quickly.
Comment: A little too easy to drink, but it still leaves an impression.
