Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Distant wood fires, roasted hazelnuts and creamy oak. Then a jamminess comes in, plum pudding and a little saline edge and a hint of citrus.
Palate: Sherry soaked sponge cake, with raisins and prunes. Smoke goes to a charcoal note. Then a nutty, woody edge hits, candy coated almonds and lacquered oak, it ends with a citrus zip.
Finish: Long and wonderfully smoke laden finish.
Comment: Has a depth of age but still with some of the youthful swagger left.

Taster   Lyndsey Gray
Nose: Strawberry and mint lemonade, pink grapefruit zest and mango yoghurt. Chargrilled pineapple, followed by pickled cucumber and sea salt.
Palate: Pineapple and mango on a charcoaled barbeque, with treacle and lemon Turkish delights. Bonfire embers with stewed rhubarb, toast and strawberry jam with fresh coffee.
Finish: Long and dry with stewed fruits.
Comment: Like eating all the sweet treats after last night’s bonfire.
