Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Beautifully mature and initially very straw-like with barley, brittle honey and hints of pure vanilla. Opens up to show a touch of melon and a fair amount of buttery, dusty oak.
Palate: Oaky with vanilla, toffee and butter. Crisp citrus and the alcohol balance. Hints of straw-like barley and honey come through but the toffeed oak is omnipresent.
Finish: The weight of oak grips and bitters, but some sweet malt and barley attempt to counter-balance.
Comment: Spent a long time in the cask as the oak is dominant.

Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: A slight prickle to this nose which gives off chilli powder, white pepper, liquorice rolls and some lanolin elements. The spirit and the oak are driving this.
Palate: A pretty direct palate that is full of spirit and sweet oak in equal measure. Sweet corn with melted, salted butter.
Finish: Like the palate, simple and direct with some apricot notes.
Comment: All spirit and oak.
