Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Like walking through a dense forest, damp moss and wet stones. Dunnage warehouses, really earthy. But there is a sweetness to it too, hot smoked salmon flakes on sourdough bread. Lemon Posset.
Palate: Chocolate coated caramel pieces, raisins and hazelnuts. But like the nose, the sweetness is tempered with those earthy notes.
Finish: Great and well integrated, all the elements come together in this long finish.
Comment: Takes you one way, then another, but all becomes clear in the end.
8.4
Taster   Sam Coyne
Nose: Sticky toffee puddings, chocolate sauce, bitter oranges and an apple pie. A few red berries dotted about for good measure too.
Palate: Becomes a little spicier as cinnamon and nutmeg come to the fore. A little herby note. Orange returns again, but less bitter this time and juicier. Red berries then take over and a wine note is the lasting impression.
Finish: Long with more of the fruits making their presence known.
Comment: A good dram, full of rich flavours, without being the most complex whisky in the world.
