Tasting notes
Taster   Lyndsey Gray
Nose: An explosion of autumnal fruits with brambles and stewed rhubarb followed by dark chocolate covered coffee beans, burnt treacle and wood sap. Hints of bacon Frazzles and blue cheese.
Palate: Stewed rhubarb and sour plums rush through. Tobacco smoke starts softening out sour fruits. Crème brulee, hot oats and dried apricots.
Finish: Long with a persistent chalky smoke that doesn’t, however, overpower it.
Comment: Imagine eating rhubarb and bramble pie on Guy Fawkes night.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Almost the breakfast of champions, a great whack of sherry, brown bread and bitter marmalade. Plenty of dried fruit here too. Slowly the spices start to push through, cinnamon and allspice. Gentle smoke lurking.
Palate: Smooth and creamy, with those spices starting to grip. Then we head off into chewy dates stuffed with almonds and walnuts.
Finish: Keeps on going with the richness of drinking chocolate and lowly drying with tropical fruits and walnuts.
Comment: Nicely knitted together and the perfect Autumn friend.
