Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Heavily polished chests, prune juice, huge waves of sherry-soaked raisins, balsamic pickled walnuts and silverskin onions. Dark cherry jam and roast duck skin. Wine poached pears. Christmas cake.
Palate: Over stewed tea, bitter walnut skins, dark chocolate cinder toffee, Sour cherry sweets. Some wonderful savoury notes come through as well. Tobacco and nutmeg, then leather.
Finish: Short and with the tanginess of blue cheese and nut-laden dark chocolate.
Comment: Weaponised sherry in a cigar lounge.

Taster   Lyndsey Gray
Nose: Extremely heavy on the wood and rich. Prunes soaked in cherry kirsch, black treacle, dark chocolate coconut chocolate bars and pink peppercorns. Cinnamon scented candles.
Palate: Surprisingly light in texture in comparison to the rich notes of the nose. Still oily. Linseed and roasted figs.
Finish: Lengthy with oiliness coating the palate. Drying.
Comment: Like wrapping your tastebuds in a massive wooly blanket. All comforting and heavy.
