Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: A charred/smoky/liquorice note to open with followed by sweet concentrated hedgerow fruits. A little rubbery with water suggesting the distillate was not fully matured.
Palate: Firm, with some wet wool. All in all, quite grippy, suggestive of double wooding. The fruits which are there on the nose are encased.
Finish: Rhubarb, a little bitter.
Comment: For me the finishing element has just been just a little overdone.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Musty. Wet wood. Fungal. Makes me think of a walk in a damp forest, with decaying branches scattered on the ground. Hint of bonfire smoke. Some sweetness tones these notes down.
Palate: Sweet and bitter. Orange drop. Something of Campari. Waterenhances the bitterness. Smoky.
Finish: Drying, still bitter. Medium long. Warm if not burning.
Comment: Obviously a wine finish.
