Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Apples? Apple skins perhaps.
Palate: Tannin. Apple. Toffee. Vanilla. Sulphur.
Finish: Whisky wins convincingly against the Calvados, but it's still a very interesting struggle.
Comment: The Calvados character is almost overwhelming but Caol Ila comes surging through in the finish.
8.3
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: Sharp burst of flighty peat, etheric apple based fruitness.
Palate: Lively and fresh.
Finish: Thin despite a hint of spice and surprisingly short for a Caol Ila.
Comment: A highly unusual Caol Ila mysteriously lacking in complexity.
7.3
