Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Peat, juniper. Fruit skin, or am I being suggestible?
Palate: Very peaty. Some creamy, sweeter, nutty fruitiness coming along behind. Iron.
Finish: Saltiness reasserts the coastal identity.
Comment: The least characterful of the three Caol Ila wood finishes.

Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: Ripe fruit covers the peat but leaves the vanilla unscathed.
Palate: Unbelievably soft, with a hint of cherry.
Finish: No more than an echo of smoke and spice.
Comment: There are times when whiskies can be just a little too gentle....and this is one.
