Tasting notes
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: A closed nose, which needs a good shake to wake, but when it comes to life expect good aged oak, real vanilla and cookie dough.
Palate: Nicely rounded with some lovely malt notes that work well with a backdrop of vanilla and grain.
Finish: Wait! What’s that? Some smoke on the swallow. Where did that come from?!
Comment: Nose and palate: a delicate oaky blend. On the finish, smoke! A magician’s dram!
9.1
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Opens with lots of relatively mature grain with light rummy dried fruit and developing camphor, coriander leaf, tarragon and nettle. With time some burnt butter and vanilla oak.
Palate: A little homogenous with a touch more malt showing. Quite full with the mature-ish grainy dried fruit coming through on the middle.
Finish: Short, crisp and grainy.
Comment: Another blend where the nose offers a lot more than the palate.
