Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Full, fruity and estery – pineapple, apricot, banana skin and barley with a delicious thread of perfumed white fruit and honey. Late hints of earth, grass and a sweet grain note.
Palate: Soft, full and fleshy with hints of natural caramel. The caramel takes the edge off the voluptuous fruit but the barley still shines through. Seems to be a light, herbal spirit note.
Finish: Medium length with a light mineral and possibly sweet grain finish. Lightly coffeed aftertaste.
Comment: It comes across as a well put together blended whisky with a high malt content.
8.3
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Oatcakes, hay bales, Lyle’s Golden Syrup. Not a huge amount going on here to be honest.
Palate: The palate gives off some tropical fruit and a little bit of tobacco leaf and oak spice, but this is not a very complex or particularly challenging dram.
Finish: Soft and simple.
Comment: A whisky for beginners, but a good launch pad. Look what NASA has given to the world…
