Tasting notes

Taster Phoebe Calver

Nose: Like a greenhouse on a hot day, tomatoes, stalks, hot plastic sheets, then a tropical hit of papaya and some fruit pastilles.
Palate: nteresting. That tropical hint is first, bringing sweet papaya, then tangerine segments. Then it quickly gets hot with peppery ginger, a little aniseed, before earthy pine appears.
Finish: Medium to long, with that soft aniseed heat lingering.
Comment: The heat packs a punch in the middle, but surrounding that is a lot of really interesting complexity.

Taster Christopher Coates

Nose: Under-ripe banana, vanilla ice cream, tonic water and aloe. Freshly baked fruit scone with butter.
Palate: Light bodied. Crème brûlée, fresh strawberry and white grape juice. Plenty of fresh apple and pear, with a dollop of clotted cream.
Finish: Medium length, sweet and creamy.
Comment: Simple stuff and a touch hot at first, but actually quite moreish.
