Tasting notes
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: Finely tuned and impressive, an intriguing hint of juniper and liquorice co-ordinate with a firm grain.
Palate: Remains firm and here the complexity takes hold with fabulous cocoa, grassy malt and spices.
Finish: Long and simple; malt glow lingers.
Comment: Excellent classic blend from the old school: brilliantly firm grain guarantees class and complexity. If they dropped the colour - which affects the taste towards the middle - it would hit amazing heights.
9.0
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Some fresh peatiness.
Palate: Starts very sweet and syrupy, with some maltiness. Becomes rather bland.
Finish: Weak. Late warmth.
Comment: Seems like an attempt at an old-fashioned blend, but a bit two-dimensional.
