Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Sweet, rum and raisin ice cream, toasted crumpets with brandy butter and baked rye bread. Juicy fruits with a tang, cherries, lemons and fruit salad, satsuma pith and brown sugar.
Palate: Spicy, with rye bread punching through and develops to fruits. Lush dense fruits, leather and damp tweed. Tinned pineapple and sugar syrup.
Finish: Long and entertaining, alcohol prickle and tannins come through. With water there's a huge orchard note.
Comment: Fun stuff. Water helps releases hidden depths.

Taster   Sam Coyne
Nose: Spices on the nose followed by rum and raisin ice cream. Melon follows and waft of sugar syrup.
Palate: Rich, a really coating mouthfeel. Fruit salad; melons, satsumas and a touch more syrup. There's also a heft of spice that sits right on the tip of your tongue.
Finish: Finish is long with a real tickle of spice. Does move a little into the realm of vanilla.
Comment: Nice and well layered. Nothing overpowers too much and everything is well balanced. Got a little bit of something different going on.
