Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Honey with a suggestion of chocolate, but also herbal notes.
Palate: Peppery and dry, but also creamy.
Finish: Orangey, zesty. Appetisingly spicy. Cilantro?
Comment: Very distinctive. Bring on the chicken mole.
7.8
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Rich, wooded. Like a dunnage warehouse. Molasses, Christmas cake. European oak.
Palate: Charred timbers. The spirit has a fruity weight but the wood is in charge. Too dry and tannic.
Finish: Dry.
Comment: A shame as you don't find many wholly port pipe matured whiskies, but this has lain in the cask for too long.
