Tasting notes

Taster Kate Packwood

Nose: Crumbly peppermints and cut grass. Toasted oats and flapjacks with raisins, white chocolate and cherries in kirsch, liqueur chocolate box wrappers and biscotti in balsam boxes.
Palate: Cherry pie and blackberry jam. Blackcurrant Chewitt sweets, parma violets, apple doughnuts and coffee syrup.
Finish: Lingering violets and jamminess with gorgeous oak tannins.
Comment: Fantastic. So much going on with it that it just keeps on giving. Exciting, balanced and delicious.

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Floral, like a flower shop in the height of summer, all sorts of blooms. New pencils, furniture polish. The smell of lacquered wood, nitrocellulose coating for the guitar and bass playing geeks out there.
Palate: Soft, deep and rich, cherry menthol and mandarin juice. Caramelised pear tarts.
Finish: Long with all those floral notes hitting on after the other. A little oak grip too.
Comment: Wonderfully smooth and rich. Reminds me of opening vintage bass cases.
