Tasting notes
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: Notes of cherry and sherry with malt, peat smoke and oak combining for maximum complexity.
Palate: Fat and oily; like the nose hinting slightly at bourbon.
Finish: Long and intense with more smoke and a build up of drier, spicier oak.
Comment: This is a classic whisky in any language or any culture.
8.8
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Chocolates in a cedar box.
Palate: Firm. Tightly combined flavours. Chocolate. Faint hint of ginger.
Finish: Gentle, long, warming. More obvious ginger.
Comment: Leaner, drier, less estery and more oaky than the version that has no age statement. I like each equally, in its own right.
