Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Slow to open, almost tequila like, bow rosin, soft wood smoke, winey notesand old books.
Palate: Thick and oily, cake batter, forest floors, pine sap, digestive biscuits.
Finish: Very sweet and syrupy with a little wood spice.
Comment: Very pleasant stuff.

Nose: Tinned peaches, Madeira cake, light pipe tobacco.
Palate: Quite mouth-coating, with musky Madeira notes, pine needles and gentle spice.
Finish: Fades gently, becoming nuttier.
Comment: Has the true spirit character slightly masked here?
