Tasting notes

Taster Dominic Roskrow

Nose: Rich vanilla and bourbon candy, chewy fruit and wispy smokiness.
Palate: Quite delicate and not as sweet as some American whiskeys, with apple and pear fruits, vanilla and candy, but with some astringency.
Finish: More a whimper than a scream. Delicate, with traces of oak and spice at the end.
Comment: A rye blend, eh? Explains the gentle landing. But this works very well indeed.

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Quite shy initially then sweetness comes through. Vanillas and spun sugar follow.
Palate: Again a little shy at first, delicate with green fruits, apples, and that vanilla.
Finish: Dusty with oak and spice playing the final role.
Comment: Quite reserved for a rye, but it reveals itself right at the end.
