Tasting notes
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Sweet-cure bacon and smoke-house meats, this immediately gives you earthy ideas, with an energetic spirit adding an edge of energy to the aromas.
Palate: Not a lot happens on the palate, but the delicate smoke in there and it grows as the taste develops. At first it is subtle, giving way to sherry trifle, but it comes back with a vengeance.
Finish: ...hits hard in the finish, coupled with fruit sherry tones.
Comment: The nose draws you in, the palate is a little one dimensional but the finish is exciting.
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: A very unique sweet smoke note, almost like setting candyfloss on fire with a gas torch - unusual indeed. This gives way to a dusting of icing sugar, some milk chocolate and orange juice. There’s also an unusual musk here.
Palate: Very dry and a little bitter at first, with a sharp zesty note masking some softer smoke, white chocolate and orange flower water.
Finish: Very oaky, with a malty note further in.
Comment: The aroma here is inviting and well worth investigating. Unfortunately, the palate feels a little tired.
