Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Gentle sherry, hints of coffee cake and tiramisu, wet walnuts and distant cherry pipe tobacco. Gets a little woolly and waxy, tweed bolts and wintergreen.
Palate: Grilled pineapple and chili – that great combo of sweetness and spice prickle. Sherry sweetness takes over with hedgerow fruits, brambles and blueberries. A little roasted apple too.
Finish: Tannin and spices tingle and keep going for quite a while.
Comment: Lovely stuff, well balanced. Like tucking into the sherry soaked iced finger at the bottom of a trifle.

Taster   Sam Coyne
Nose: Chocolate and cookie dough. Sounds like a university student coming to terms with a break-up. Is that some dessert wine? Well that ends the uni, student illusion...
Palate: Still in uni-land, hot coffee on dissertation day. A smattering of red berries and a little woodiness.
Finish: Long, with a fruity red berry coffee. The spice loiters even further.
Comment: Maybe a little too sweet and isn't completely balanced. That said, it's really quite tasty, so I can't complain.
