Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Big and punchy up front, again a really vibrant nose to start. Then calms down into almost an orchard note. This is balanced by oak tannins. Becomes grippy in time.
Palate: A veritable mix of rich fruits, creamy malt and spiciness. Rich mango and those apple notes kick things off with a great tang note from peppercorns. Then a gentle smoke note.
Finish: Really darkens up with hints of damp earth, bow rosin and candied fruit peel.
Comment: Lovely balance and the high ABV doesn’t interfere with play. A lovely drop.
8.4
Taster   Sam Coyne
Nose: Fresh and vibrant – dangerously promising. Green apple peels, lemon and lime zests. Faint hints of smoke.
Palate: Further develops that fruitiness; tropical fruits – papaya, mango yoghurt and a little lime juice. A faint acetone note develops. Cracked pepper crisps and a little sea salt. More faint smoke.
Finish: Pine and woody forests. A bit more of that smoke develops.
Comment: Good stuff – fine with or without water. Fruitiness is good fun and easy going.
