Tasting notes
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Cherry tobacco, the nose is well balanced. Not overpowering, fruit and smoke play well with vanilla and oak.
Palate: Yes, a stately palate giving the right balance, again, of oak, cherry, smoke and vanilla. The combination work brilliantly and the longer this sits on the palate the nicer it eventually becomes.
Finish: Full bodied and richly smoky.
Comment: A very well made and well aged dram. Double thumbs-up!
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: A waft of fruity smoke, some oiliness, Brazil nut shells, honeycomb pieces, soft caramel and citrus segments. Really excellent balance at work here.
Palate: The smoke is restrained, but sweet, with a lovely floral note, rather than anything to woody. A pleasant creaminess backs it up and we’re in 7th heaven.
Finish: Dry and lengthy, with some further smokiness as well.
Comment: Lovely integration at work here. It is certainly well aged, but hangs onto the vibrancy. Terrific smoke.
