Tasting notes
Taster   Kate Packwood
Nose: Big smoke up front, almost-burnt caramel, salt taffy, then honey-roasted gammon and a hint of cinnamon spice follows.
Palate: Deep, intensely savoury smoke notes, sea salt and toasted pecans, barbeque blackened prawns and fresh red chilli, very fiery for the ABV but water balances it out well. .
Finish: Blackened barbeque smoke and lots of fresh chilli heat.
Comment: Like sitting on a beach at sunset eating Dublin Bay prawns that are fresh off hot coals.
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Grainy with a heavy rubbery, smoky edge. Tarred ropes and deep-sea fishing nets – salt laden. Smoked ham and pineapple chunks. Saline like smoked salt.
Palate: Saline element hits first, then the spices with waves of pickled chilli and paprika. A herby note, rosemary and roast lamb.
Finish: Hot chilli spices numb initially then the mouth salivates. A touch heavy on the burning side, chilli and clove oil.
Comment: 43%? Really? Those chilli spices make everything feel much stronger. Punchy and mouth tingling. Different.
