Tasting notes

Taster Joel Harrison

Nose: Quite a closed nose, but once it opened up it is packed with white flowers, jam tarts, apricots and honey.
Palate: Fresh fruit salad, with mango, peach, pear and blood orange juice. Really quite complex and fresh, if not a little sweet.
Finish: Sweetened orange juice, tropical fruits and crêpe Suzette.
Comment: Far and away the most fruity whiskey of the flight. The tropical fruits are amazing. Almost Caribbean in character.

Taster Joel Harrison

Nose: A lovely nose. Full with banana, subtle honey and a touch of smoky toffee and barley. With time a playful herbal note appears along with hints of earth and crisp citrus.
Palate: Soft and full with honey coated banana and hints of apricot, barley and oak. Not }quite as complex as the nose but it has a lovely weight. However the smoke seems to have disappeared!
Finish: Good length with the citrus scything through the honey and toffee. Lovely herbal aftertaste.
Comment: A classic, full-bodied Irish malt.
