Tasting notes
Taster   Dominic Roskrow
Nose: Nail varnish, liquid honey, burnt sugar, unripe pear.
Palate: A complex mix, this: A nice surge of clean and fresh malt, a zesty lemon and sour and sour apple, all underlaid by some savoury and spice notes.
Finish: Clean and full, with some savouriness on a peat bed.
Comment: Very impressive mix of whisky styles.
7.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Dried sweet spice. Some vanilla. This too has a hard, sawdusty edge as if the wood isn't not yet quite fully integrated. When it opens there's a touch of wax, a little Ovaltine and light honey.
Palate: Tingling and clean, light smoke then grass. Chewy, nutty and light.
Finish: Short and clean.
Comment: A pretty dram.
