Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Peaty dryness. Earth and grass. Juniper. Very aromatic.
Palate: Soothingly oily, olive-like. Passion-fruit. Perfumy, fragrant, seaweed.
Finish: Very salty. Sandy.
Comment: Emphatically Islay without being aggressive. Lots of flavour development, but deftly handled.
7.8
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: An immediate hit of medical aromas: smoke, lint, Arbroath smokies, heather. Water lifts out some perfume and a sweetness.
Palate: Medium bodied. Balances soft fruit with dry smoky character. Not quite as in yer face as the nose implies.
Finish: Dry and sooty.
Comment: It lacks oomph mid-palate but a great starter.
