Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Buttery toasted white bread, then green apple skin, sweet cream, and a herbal note beginning to cut through the caramel syrup.
Palate: All about the sweet spice here, with sticky ginger loaf, cut through by a dark berry compote and a chocolate mousse-like note.
Finish: More of the dark berry compote, supported by lingering ginger spice.
Comment: There are a whole lot of rich flavours to work through here, but they do seem to have a balancing counterpart in there with them.

Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Clay, pencil shavings, eucalyptus, liquorice, leaf mulch, instant coffee, and treacle. Subtle coal smoke. A touch earthy.
Palate: Very light. Lots of coffee liqueur and prominent tobacco smoke, Scottish tablet and gingerbread. Millionaire shortbread.
Finish: Medium-long, on those sweet caramel and tobacco smoke notes.
Comment: Wonderful old-school flavours. Something to point people to when they don’t believe blends can bring the quality.
