Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Fat and malty with nuts, malted milk and ham stock (not something that you see in conjunction that often) Light and fairly tight. There's a meatiness all the way through here that with water shifts to cocoa.
Palate: Quite dry and tannic with some mint and lipstick like waxiness. Anotherthat's best with only a little water.
Finish: Fat, but balanced.
Comment: Decent enough.
7.4
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Meaty, a hint of smoke. Smoked ham. A butyric touch like the lactic smell ina dairy.
Palate: Sweet at first then getting bitter. Liquorice root, sugar candy. Over infused tea.
Finish: Dry, oaky with a hint of burnt wood.
Comment: A dour character. Wood is not integrated enough, and the whisky keeps an astringent edge.
