Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Malty, like well-stewed milky tea with a good deal of sugar in it. Iced midget gem biscuits. Then blackberry compote and icing sugar.
Palate: The sweetness and a little tang of cassis and a lavender edge. A little inky and a touch savoury right at the end.
Finish: Swift, sweet and breathy, feels like the alcohol has saved itself for now. Dries with talc and powdered ginger.
Comment: Shared some traits with other Irish blends out there, but then blows things out of the park with its own lovely nuances.
8.8
Taster   Lyndsey Gray
Nose: Fresh and vibrant with green apple laces, linseed oil and chocolate lime sweets. Jasmine rice and curried butternut squash with black pudding and acrylic paint.
Palate: Gorse flowers, lavender soap and spearmint gum. A bitterness appears with used coffee granules, dark chocolate cocoa powder and Dr Pepper ice cream floats.
Finish: Sulphur on the finish with dry spices of ground cinnamon and cocoa nibs.
Comment: That sensation when you’ve over-chewed spearmint chewing gum.
